Washing Instructions: machine wash gentle cycle, using warm water. Can put in the dryer. Cotton/high cycle. Fabric has already been washed, and pre-shrunk.
ADDING RICE: I use about 1.5 cups. This can vary depending on how long you need it to be. Fill the tubes 1 inch shorter than length of the bit. Don’t over fill. It should be more flat, than rounded, so it hangs around the bit easily. If you add too much rice, hold the warmer where you want the rice to finish at, and dump the rest out.
Tie roughly 1.5” longer than your bit length.
Tie one tie tight, using a surgeon’s knot (see photo)- wrap through once, and before pulling it tight, wrap through a second time. Then pull tight, and do a bow tie. A surgeon’s knot helps keep it from getting loose (I use surgeon’s knots when braiding, so the braids don’t fall out).
Then make second knot, with another piece of yarn. Take the excess fabric, and fold over, then tie around that, with a surgeon’s knot, and bow tie.
*Might come with fabric ties, or yarn ties. Additional yarn ties will be included, in case you lose one.
If you lose the ties, it needs to be replaced with yarn that is 100% cotton, so that it is microwave safe.
Always check that the ties are tight, before each use, so the rice doesn’t fall out.
Check on the rice once in a while, to make sure it hasn’t gone bad. Replace rice when needed.

EACH BIT WARMER COMES WITH A FREE CHARM: when selecting your bit warmer in the options drop-down menu, be sure to also select your free charm. Scroll all the way down to pick your charm(s). When buying multiple bit warmers, pick out a charm for each one.
HOW TO USE:
1. Put in microwave, with a mug half-full of water. The water provides additional moisture.
2. Heat in 30 second intervals, and check how hot the bit warmer is at each interval. *EVERY MICROWAVE HEATS AT A DIFFERENT TEMPERATURE. Use a regular/normal power heat level. May require doing some test-runs. *Different microwaves heat at different rates/temperatures.
Never leave the microwave unattended, when in use.
3. Put the bit warmer over the bit. Can try positioning the bit differently, to see if the warmer stays in place better a certain way. Can use the yarn ties to secure the warmer more (see photo). Shape the warmer to the bit, using your hands.
4. Always check the bit before putting it in the horse’s mouth. Make sure it is not hot. It should be a comforting, and gentle warm temperature.
